Location function to find a pharmacy nearby
If you would like to find the nearest pharmacy that stocks our products, you can click on the "Find a pharmacy near you" function to activate it. In doing so, you consent for us to use the IP address transmitted by your browser to determine your approximate location so our website can display the nearest pharmacy (article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, letter a GDPR). We determine your approximate location by comparing it with common IP databases. The accuracy of pinpointing your location can vary greatly with this procedure. We only collect and use your IP address for determining your location if you click on the "Find a pharmacy near you" function, and then we only do so for the purpose of displaying the nearest pharmacy.
After calling up the function, you have the option of initiating a more precise location by clicking on a phrase such as “determine my exact location" or “locate exactly." In this event, with your consent, the geolocation API of your web browser is used (article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, letter a GDPR). If you are using a device with GPS support (e. g. a smartphone), your current location can be determined even more precisely using the GPS module.
Instead of using a localisation via geolocation API or GPS, you also have the option of searching via postal code or address data.
We collect and use your location data via the geolocation API of your web browser or the address you have entered only if you click on a more precise location or enter these data directly. We use these data to display the nearest pharmacy.
If you wish to be navigated to the nearest pharmacy, the location data that have been determined are transferred as geo-coordinates - based on the settings of your device - to a map-service provider (e. g. Google Maps or Apple maps) and entered there as starting coordinates. We will not transfer further personal data.
