Alzheimer disease model: EGb 761 shows promising results
We are thrilled to announce the publication of the results from our research collaboration with the University Medical Center Mainz on the effects of Ginkgo biloba leaf extract EGb 761® in an Alzheimer's disease (AD) model. The study reveals promising results in improving cognitive function and reducing amyloid plaque load in the brain.
Acute bronchitis - observational study with EPs® 7630 has been started
We have started a prospective observational study with EPs® 7630 at the beginning of the current cold season in Switzerland. The objective is to include approximately 400 patients diagnosed with acute bronchitis. The aim is to have a positive virus test at the start of treatment for at least 216 patients.
14.02.2023 - Eine klinische Studie untersuchte die Anwendung unseres Spezialextrakts EPs® 7630 bei ein- bis fünfjährigen Kindern mit akuter Bronchitis. Fazit: Die Verbesserung des Gesundheitszustands und der Beschwerden war unter Behandlung EPs® 7630 positiv. EPs® 7630 erwies sich gleichermaßen sicher und gut verträglich.
26.01.2023 - In 2022 hat die Schwabe-Gruppe in Deutschland für die Standorte in Karlsruhe auf den Bezug von grünem Strom umgestellt. Das bedeutet, dass aller Strom, der an diesen Standorten von unserem Versorger bezogen wird, aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen stammt.
15.01.2023 - Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir im Rahmen der Schwabe Phyto Innovation Challenge ( www.phyto-innovation.com ) ein Kooperationsprojekt mit der Dalhousie University aus Nova Scotia in Kanada starten können. Gemeinsam mit Prof. Vasantha Rupasinghe werden wir neuartige Extraktionsmethoden zur Herstellung eines Spezialextraktes mit angereicherten aktiven Inhaltsstoffen (Cyanidin-3-O- Glucosid) untersuchen.

16.09.202 - Bereits seit 1961 verleiht die Gesellschaft für Arzneipflanzen- und Naturstoff-Forschung als weltweit eine der wichtigsten wissenschaftlichen Gesellschaften im Bereich der Phytoforschung den von uns gestifteten Dr. Willmar Schwabe Award. 2022 konnte Dr. Simone Moser von Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München den mit 10.000 Euro dotierten Award gewinnen.
14.09.2022 - Beim 39. Healthcare Advertising Award konnte der von Schwabe entwickelte Erklärfilm zum Thema „Mild Cognitive Impairment“ (= leichte kognitive Beeinträchtigungen) überzeugen und gewann einen sogenannten „Merit Award“.
25.08.2022 - Die neue Probiotika-Linie von Pegaso® besteht aus Probiotika, Präbiotika, pflanzlichen Inhaltsstoffen und Vitaminen und steht für einen besonderen therapeutischen Ansatz bei individuellen Darmproblemen (Durchfall, Verstopfung usw.), ist aber auch für verschiedene Anwendungsfälle bei Kindern und Erwachsenen geeignet.
29.07.2022 - In einer kürzlich erschienen Übersichtsarbeit präsentieren Bartova et al.* Erkenntnisse, dass Silexan® günstige Auswirkungen auf gleichzeitig auftretende depressive Symptome bei Patienten mit unterschwelligen Angstzuständen und Angststörungen hat.
08.06.2022 - Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir im Rahmen der Schwabe Phyto Innovation Challenge ( www.phyto-innovation.com ) ein Kooperationsprojekt mit dem Lehrstuhl für Pharmakognosie an der Universität Wien starten werden. In unserem gemeinsamen Projekt geht es um das Erforschen pflanzlicher Extrakte und Kombinationen von Naturstoffen in Bezug auf deren Fähigkeit, altersbedingte Erkrankungen positiv zu beeinflussen.
07.07.2022 - Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir im Rahmen der Schwabe Phyto Innovation Challenge ein Kooperationsprojekt mit der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München starten konnten. Ein Team um Dr. Simone Moser wird die erst in den letzten Jahren neu entdeckte Substanzklasse der sogenannten Phylloxanthobiline in ihrer möglichen positiven Wirkung bei der Arteriosklerose untersuchen. Diese wird oft auch Gefäßverkalkung genannt und ist für die Mehrzahl aller Herz-Kreislauferkrankungen im Alter verantwortlich.
