Conference of German Society for Gastroenterology: Menthacarin® shows relevant treatment effects
At the 77th annual conference of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) in Hamburg, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Madisch, a leading expert in the field of gastroenterology, held an oral presentation on our proprietary combination of peppermint and caraway oil Menthacarin®. He presented the results of a systematic review and meta-analysis which was published recently.
In this meta-analysis, Menthacarin® shows clinically relevant treatment effects on epigastric pain, flatulence and/or bloating - with significant superiority over placebo. Thus, the authors recommended it for consideration in treatment guidelines for functional gastrointestinal disorders
