Dr. Willmar Schwabe Young Talent Prize goes to Dr. Adriano Rutz!
Dr. Adriano Rutz, a researching pharmacist at the ETH Zurich, was awarded with the Dr. Willmar Schwabe Young Talent Prize for his outstanding contribution: he established a platform called the Lotus Initiative which is designed to share data about natural products and their origins.
“It has been a pleasure and privilege to present the new Dr. Willmar Schwabe Young Talent Prize to Dr. Adriano Rutz to recognize and support the next generation of scientists. Together we will be defining the future of phytomedicine!” says Dr. Dirk Bredenbröker, MD, EVP of R&D at the Schwabe Group.
Dr. Adriano Rutz was awarded during the GA congress of the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA), which took place in Dublin last week.
The Dr. Willmar Schwabe Young Talent Prize is an incentive which motivates young talents to address phytochemical and phytopharmacological questions, especially ones with potential clinical implications. Its objective is to advance our understanding of the therapeutic potential of natural products.
