Schwabe Group receives award for outstanding innovation performance

Over the past few years, our Research & Development department has impressively demonstrated its innovative strength: several R&D projects were successfully approved under the German Research Allowance Act, thereby qualifying for funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The additional financial resources make an important contribution to advancing our innovation projects.

This commitment is now receiving special recognition: the official R&D seal has been awarded to us by the BMBF via the Research Allowance Certification Authority (BSFZ). With this certification, the Schwabe Group is now also formally recognized as a research and development company, and its technological and scientific capabilities are confirmed at the governmental level.

“This seal is far more than a formal confirmation. It is a strong signal of our innovation strength and a recognition of the commitment, creativity, and passion with which our teams work every day to advance future technologies,” says Dr. Dirk Bredenbröker, VP R&D of the Schwabe Group. “We are very proud that our innovation competence has now also been officially certified.”

Introduced in 2020, the German Research Allowance Act aims to specifically support innovative companies in Germany. It provides for the evaluation of research and development projects by a specialized governmental body. Only projects that meet strict scientific and technological criteria receive a positive certification and are therefore eligible for funding.

The awarding of the seal underscores our ambition to create sustainable value through continuous research and development and to actively help shape the future.
